IDLES – Rabbit Run (Interpol Remix)

IDLES recruited three close friends to remix tracks from their Caught Stealing soundtrack. Interpol, Nick Zinner of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Lip Critic each took on material from the Darren Aronofsky film score, with Interpol and Zinner both tackling “Rabbit Run” while Lip Critic reworked film opener “Doom”.

Interpol’s Sam Fogarino said he sat and listened to the original mix on repeat for what he calls “an embarrassing length of time”, describing it as “a white knuckle rollercoaster ride of a listen.” Hearing the New York band get to grips with Bristol’s IDLES creates an interesting tension—two groups with distinctly different approaches to intensity working from the same source material.

The Bristol band wrote new music specifically for Aronofsky’s critically acclaimed film, and the soundtrack project has since expanded beyond its original scope. The physical release drops December 19 via Partisan Records. IDLES have various headline, festival, and support gigs lined up for summer 2026, starting at Denmark’s NorthSide on June 4 and including support slots with Foo Fighters in Germany, Austria, and Italy.
